Ceremonial Healing – Recordstore Day 2016
Ceremonial Healing reunites two core members of the Sun Ra Arkestra (bandleader/saxophonist Marshall Allen and saxophonist/multi-instrumentalist Danny Ray Thompson), along with pianist/keyboardist Jamie Saft, bassist Trevor Dunn, and drummer Balazs Pandi.
Recorded over three days at Potterville International Sound Studio, New York State, this album is a tribute to the Sun Ra Arkestra, the recordings resulting from a three-day psychedelic improvisation session. Ceremonial Healing will be released on tri-color vinyl, three LPs (one LP per day), in a beautifully designed corrugated cardboard box.
