This is an exciting new collection of original tunes from guitarist David Blake. The band had been working as a trio, but upon hearing Dabin Ru’s piano, David knew he needed to invite her to join the group. What emerged is a powerful performance of group interplay, crystalized as a quartet. This album marks a new direction for Blake, as the compositions explore looser forms and free playing.
