Released in July 2016 via Nuclear Blast Records, Beast is the long-awaited fifth studio album from Canadian deathcore pioneers Despised Icon. Arriving seven years after Day of Mourning and following the band’s reunion, the album marked a triumphant return for one of the most influential acts in modern extreme music. Produced by former guitarist Yannick St-Amand and mixed/mastered by legendary producer Andy Sneap, Beast captures the band’s signature blend of technical death metal precision, hardcore aggression, and devastating breakdowns with renewed intensity.
