Deeply rooted in organic 70s sounds, Bowie-esque influences (Blue Light, Join The Gods) are combined with soul (Hold On, Pinnacle), new wave (Feel), raw funk (Unbe’lovin’lievable) and even rock opera (Go!). The album was entirely developed and produced in the band’s own GP laboratory. The result is an alchemical brew with a mysterious main ingredient: a green, extra-finely ground powder. The line-up consists of old acquaintances, in a new band: Nyjolene Grey, Pieter Smeenk and Erik Boon – known from Haarlem’s Gotcha! – together with Richard Heijerman (a.o. Sjako!) and Martijn Koolen form the fresh sound of Green Poulder.
