Malford Milligan & The Southern Aces – I Was A Witness
For his latest album “I Was A Witness”, Malford Milligan has decided to give everyone a glimpse into his “inner soul”. Influenced and moved by all the events of the past year and a half, Malford candidly and movingly tells his story of what it was like growing up as a black albino in segregated Texas in the late 60s / early 70s. A haunting and at the same time moving story presented in 11 new songs, the vast majority of which were co-written by three band members of The Southern Aces, plus, as usual, a matching song by dear friend and songwriter Stephen Bruton. It has become a more than worthy successor to the successful album Life Will Humble You from 2018, again produced by Jack Hustinx. “I Was A Witness” will be released on September 24 on both CD (with 1 extra track: ‘Until The Rain’) and first pressing transparent red vinyl, with beautiful matching artwork, and will be toured extensively for a year and a half from the release date. past the famous club halls and theaters.
