MOKE – SHORLAND – LP
Shorland was first released on Friday March 30, 2007. The night before, the band was the first band ever to perform at DWDD. “Actually, they wanted us to be acoustic, but we were like, we just come as a band, full blast”. So that day music history was written in several areas. Our performance hit like a bomb and the next day we sold out almost the entire first pressing of the album. The album then remained in the album charts for a year. In the end, more than 40,000 copies were sold. Not only the Gold status, but even Platinum! The band toured Europe with Paul Weller, with Keane and Amy MacDonald in Germany and played 2x Pinkpop MainStage in the Netherlands. Also twice at Lowlands. In the 2007/2008 season, Moke was the house band in DWDD.
