Classic, Progressive, Grunge, Alternative, Stoner… The Nijmegen rock band Navarone doesn’t shy away from anything. They don’t shy away from anything, they throw mud, they scream at you, but at the same time they whisper in your ear. Sometimes extremely loud, sometimes very intimate, but always authentic and with full dedication! Rock of calibre. Made grandly and brought grandly. As if it was specially meant for stadiums and vast festival fields. Add to that a singer who effortlessly holds his own among the rock gods of yesteryear, then combine it with an enormously energetic and strong live reputation, and you understand why Navarone has grown into one of the Netherlands’ best, most versatile and most appreciated rock bands in recent years.

SALVO was once again recorded and produced with producer Joost van den Broek at Sandlane Recording Facilities. However, this time a different approach was chosen, namely everything as live as possible. This is to capture the chemistry between the five maestros as well as possible. So everything you hear, except for a few vocal and lead guitar overdubs, happened at the same time, in the same space! Furthermore, SALVO has also chosen to highlight one of the many faces of the band, namely the more up-tempo rock domain. The sum of all this sounds energetic, tight and in your face, as befits a true rock salvo.

Expect an even higher level than before in terms of compositions and production, but also in terms of power, dynamics, depth and diversity. In short, the prognosis for Navarone is clear: these musicians have the present and future of ROCK in the palm of their hands!
