Phantom Four, The – Spectral Sound Sessions – 1 LP
After a five-year hiatus, instrumental group THE PHANTOM FOUR returned to the stage re-energized and with a new line-up in 2025, playing shows at clubs and festivals in the Netherlands, Spain and Belgium. With new drummer Martin de Ruiter (T-99, Leadbeaters) joining the line-up, the band moved to a new rehearsal space on the outskirts of their hometown of Amsterdam to dig into their wide catalogue of songs—ranging from surf music and exotic instrumentals to cumbia and folk music from around the world, all mixed with krautrock and punk. Pleasantly surprised by the acoustics of the new room, the new line-up of The Phantom Four decided to capture the sound of the band in this setting.
