The legendary Puhdys’ first major TV appearance on West German television in February 1977 on Bremen’s “Musikladen Extra”. Mike Leckebusch, creator of “Beat Club” and “Musikladen,” directed. Impressive picture and sound quality. The Puhdys performed in their original lineup with Dieter “Maschine” Birr, Harry Jeske, Dieter ‘Quaster’ Hertrampf, Peter Meyer, and Gunther Wosylus. The band played their classics “Wenn ein Mensch lebt” (from the DEFA film “Die Legende von Paul und Paula”), “Geh zu ihr” (Go to her) and “Reise zum Mittelpunkt der Erde” (Journey to the center of the Earth). The band was awarded the “Echo” for their life’s work in April 2016.
