Roy Buchanan – Live At Rockpalast – Hamburg 1985 – LP
The Rolling Stones wanted him to replace Brian Jones, and Eric Clapton asked him to play the guitar for Derek & The Dominos – but he turned down both offers. Roy Buchanan was a true master of the Fender Telecaster guitar; and his playing technique significantly influenced musicians such as Gary Moore and Jeff Beck. He moved to Los Angeles when he was a teenager and played in the band Heartbeats with Spencer Dryden. After this, he went on tour with Dale Hawkins and played with Robbie Robertson (The Band) who described BUCHANAN as one of his main influences.
