Nighttime Birds is het vierde volledige studioalbum van de Nederlandse alternatieve rock/metalband The Gathering, uitgebracht op 6 juni 1997 door Century Media Records. Het album werd opgenomen in Woodhouse Studios, Hagen, Duitsland tussen 17 februari – 15 maart 1997 onder begeleiding van producer Siggi Bemm en The Gathering. Nighttime Birds was een logisch vervolg op Mandylion en ademde dezelfde sfeer uit.
